Elon Musk Is A Double Edged Sword
Everyone should support free speech, but Elon Musk has a few side initiatives that are problematic.
Elon Musk, a billionaire industrialist, wants to buy Twitter and turn it into a platform that promotes free speech in order to spark meaningful dialogues and save modern culture. He also told us that "China rocks," and how he backs the communist government 's objectives. Elon also opened a Tesla store in China's Xinjiang region, where ethnic Uyghurs are being subjected to genocide and forced labor. Elon Musk has also stated that "robot slaves will replace every employee," that "universal basic payment" would be required at some point, and "all transportation will be independent," and "AI will acquire god-like grandeur," and that "brain implants will link individuals to that god or gods."
We could go on and on about some of Elon's more doubtful concepts, but there is one aspect of Elon that might pose a threat to democracy: his commercial initiative, 'Neuralink.' Musk co - founded Neuralink in 2016, and the company is working on a device that would be implanted in people's brains to seamlessly monitor, augment, and allow humans to interface with artificial intelligence. It's designed to be used in medical settings, such as to treat significant spinal cord trauma and neurological problems.
Musk has formerly stated that Neuralink is functioning well in monkeys and that they are currently conducting extensive testing to demonstrate that it is extremely safe and dependable, and that the Neuralink device can be securely removed. However, at least 15 out of 23 monkeys died after being implanted with Elon Musk's Neuralink brain implants at the University of California Davis between 2017 and 2020. Mostly every single monkey that had implants placed in their heads suffered from serious health problems.
Elon Musk says In 2022, Neuralink will start transplanting brain chips in humans. Elon, I thought you were attempting to restore democracy?
